COMING SPRING 2025
Through personal essays, short thoughts, quotes, and imagery, The Shape of You untangles the beauty narratives girls and women know well and invites us to rethink how we see not only our own bodies, but others’ bodies, too.
From childhood to adulthood, Emily walks us through body dysmorphia, disordered eating, girl-on-girl comparison, and the exhausting, ever-changing aesthetic standards women are expected to uphold. More than just a critique, The Shape of You is a call-to-action to girls and women everywhere to take charge of our individual and collective narrative and think of beauty differently: not as the predefined shape of something “flattering,” but as the unique shape of You.
